The Bread Project Fights Recidivism with Baking

California nonprofit, The Bread Project, has been fighting recidivism and empowering returning citizens by offering a free 8 week program teaching commercial food prep and baking to its formerly incarcerated participants. Graduates receive 240 hours of intensive experience, professional food handling certification, and job placement assistance.
