New Feature in Reentry Navigator: Employment Tracking is Now Live

We’re excited to introduce a major new feature for all Full Access and Enterprise users of Reentry Navigator: Employment Tracking.

You can now view and update your clients’ employment status directly from your Reentry Navigator dashboard. This new tool makes it easier to track where your clients are working, how they got the job, and how much they’re earning. If someone becomes unemployed, you can log the reason and add notes. You can also filter your view based on employment status to quickly see who may need additional support.


What You Can Track


  • Employment status (Employed or Unemployed)

  • Employer name

  • Job title

  • Pay structure and rate

  • Start date

  • How the job was found (through Honest Jobs or another method)

  • Reason for unemployment and notes (if applicable)


This feature helps you stay on top of client progress and gives your organization better visibility into employment outcomes.


How to Update Employment Status


To change a client’s status to Employed:

  1. Log in to Reentry Navigator

  2. Click the three dots/Employment Status or Edit button on the client’s card

  3. Switch the toggle from Unemployed to Employed

  4. Fill in the required information:

    • Company

    • Job Title

    • Start Date

    • How did they find this job?

    • Pay Structure

    • Pay Rate

  5. Click Save


To change a client’s status to Unemployed:

  1. Log in to Reentry Navigator

  2. Click the three dots/Employment Status or Edit button on the client’s card

  3. Switch the toggle from Employed to Unemployed

  4. Fill in the required information:

    • Reason

    • Last Day

    • Notes (optional)

  5. Click Save


Once you update a client’s status, it will appear right on their card, giving you an instant view of their employment situation. This makes it easier to measure impact, report outcomes, and prioritize follow-up with clients who need additional support.

How to Filter by Employment Status


To quickly view only employed or unemployed clients, you can use the filter option on your dashboard:

  1. Go to your client dashboard

  2. Click the filter dropdown at the top

  3. Select either Employed or Unemployed

  4. The dashboard will update to show only clients that match the selected status
